Northpoint Represents at ABC

Northpoint Commercial Finance Senior VPs Russell Baqir and John Durnien joined an influential group of marine industry leaders at the NMMA’s annual American Boating Congress held May 8-10 in Washington D.C.

The Georgia delegation met with Senator Thomas Ossoff’s aides to review right whale/speed regulation and to solicit their support to open lines of communication with NOAA, as well as infrastructure development investment for lakes and waterways and aluminum tariffs.

In addition to attending key industry functions on industry policy priorities as well as a Boat PAC reception, Northpoint representatives joined a strong contingency of industry colleagues for breakfast with members of the Congressional Boating Caucus, followed by scheduled legislative meetings on Capitol Hill.

“It was great to learn more about and to join industry leaders in advocating for important recreational boating interests,” said John Durnien. “There were numerous networking and business meetings that were very educational and worthwhile for us to attend. Northpoint is 100 percent committed to supporting our industry and we enjoyed actively participating in the many events that were offered and well-orchestrated by the NMMA.”
