An Update on Northpoint Canada Activities and Recent Economic Updates

At the end of 2025, Northpoint Canada was proud to sponsor the Boating Ontario Conference at the stunning Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario. This annual event brings together marine industry leaders, marina and dealership owners, suppliers, innovators, and policymakers from across the province to discuss opportunities, challenges, and emerging trends shaping the future of the marine industry.

Gary Childress Promoted to VP of Sales

Gary Childress was recently promoted to VP Sales for Northpoint Commercial Finance and now oversees and directs sales for the marine, manufactured housing, power sports, recreational vehicle and trailer divisions. In this new capacity, Gary works closely with the Northpoint sales team across these designated categories to drive dealer growth, strengthen partnerships and align sales initiatives with the internal Operations and Credit teams to ensure exceptional service and build long-term relationship value.

Chantal Robin Named to Boating Industry’s Women Making Waves

Northpoint’s VP of Business Development/Canada Chantal Robin was tapped to the Boating Industry “Women Making Waves” Class of 2025 and received her award at the Top 100 Elevate Summit in Orlando in January. As one of a select group of women leaders throughout North America chosen for this prestigious honor, Chantal brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role which has positively impacted the success of Northpoint Commercial Finance throughout Canada, and the customers she serves.

Northpoint’s North American Marine Team will be well represented at the upcoming Miami International Boat Show, February 11-15. We are attending with a strong contingent of 14 team members from throughout the organization including our CEO Dan Radley, representatives from parent company Laurentian Bank of Canada, leaders in our credit and operations team along with a group of key business development directors from the U.S. and Canada.

Northpoint Strong at MRAA Dealer Week 2025

In early December, Northpoint brought a diverse team of 14 to MRAA Dealer Week 2025 in Tampa, FL including field sales, senior leadership, and operations members. As a strategic partner of the MRAA, we were on hand to fully support their good work which focuses on strengthening dealers through training, certifications and industry advocacy initiatives.

“Cautious Optimism” at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show

Northpoint was on site and invested time and plenty of energy at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to meet with multiple leading companies and customers across the marine industry landscape. The team met with several OEM and dealer customers including Beneteau, OneWater, Monterey, Sea Fox, Yellowfin, Cranchi, Sea Pro, Suzuki, Aiata a Turkey OEM and Caymas, among others.

A Strong Presence at the Annapolis Powerboat Show

Northpoint Extends and Enhances UMMA Benefits

Northpoint has recently updated its flooring program with the United Marine Manufacturer’s Association (UMMA) and extended its enhanced benefits package through model year 2030.
