Sales Leaders Take a Brief Look Back, Share Latest News and Trends Ahead

When Northpoint Commercial Finance entered the market in February 2012, we leaned on decades of trusted relationships within the RV industry that had been fostered and built by experienced members of our team. As we prepared to expand into other key market sectors—Marine, Trailer, and Manufactured Housing – our initial approach across all segments was highly focused: secure early and consistent business throughout the first year.
On the RV front, we strategically and quickly partnered with many major national manufacturers including Forest River, Thor Industries, Winnebago Industries, Grand Design RV, KZRV, Newmar Corp., Lance Camper, Jayco RV, and several others. At the same time, our field sales team turned its attention to nationwide dealer development, engaging with many dealers and manufacturer reps with whom we’d had long-tern relationships. This approach delivered positive overall results and created a strong cornerstone for Northpoint’s future growth.
Jeff Olander led the charge from the beginning and recalls that Northpoint’s launch was “well-received by both manufacturers and dealers, especially considering only five national lenders were serving the RV market at the time. The enthusiasm generated, coupled with all the new opportunities that followed, fueled Northpoint’s growth and trajectory, and established our market presence.” In 2022, Jimmy Carter joined as a key member of our national leadership team, with a clear focus to further expand our business within the RV and Manufactured Housing industries.
As we look ahead to next year, Northpoint remains deeply committed to our valued RV manufacturers and dealers, and in supporting their respective business growth, innovation and expansion. In addition, Northpoint is 100 percent invested in the RV industry overall. We serve as active members of both RVIA and RVDA; maintain solid partnerships with approximately 45 manufacturers/OEMs; and proudly work with 400+ dealer clients across the country. It’s been a highly productive, rewarding, fast-paced and fun journey!
As we visit with our clients across the country, we’re often asked to share insight regarding the state of our industry. We’re pleased to note a few key highlights and trends in this issue of the Northpoint Navigator.
Industry Trends & Forecast:
• Year to date RV shipments through August are up 4.2% overall, from RVIA.
• According to SSI’s August 2025 report, the RV industry experienced a -4.67% year-over-year decline in new unit sales, but an improvement from the -8.12% decline recorded in August 2024, signaling continued progress toward market stability.
• RVIA’s most current forecast expects full year 2025 RV shipments to reach 337,000 (241,500 actual units shipped through Aug.) while 2026 shipments are projected to reach 349,300 in 2026, representing a 3.6% increase.
• Based on our portfolio results, Northpoint can confidently conclude that the industry overall has improved its inventory position in the past two years, demonstrated by reduced aged inventory across the country. The results show a much healthier portfolio as we move forward into 2026.
