NORTHPOINT IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THREE NEW APPOINTMENTS IN ITS POWERSPORTS DIVISION FROM BOTH THE U.S. AND CANADIAN MARKETS

Jacob Clothier has been named National Account Manager (NAM) for Powersports, reinforcing the company’s commitment to strategic growth and expanded OEM and dealer partnerships within the powersports industry.

In this role, Clothier leads national account strategy for key powersports partners and will focus on OEM relationships, large dealer groups and enterprise-level accounts. He is responsible for driving portfolio growth, strengthening manufacturer and dealer alignment and delivering tailored floorplan financing solutions to support long-term partner success.

“Jacob’s deep OEM experience, national account leadership and proven ability to align sales strategy with operational execution make him an ideal fit for this role,” said Darren McCarthy Senior Vice President Business Development. “His appointment supports our continued investment in the powersports segment and our focus on delivering scalable, relationship-driven financing solutions.”

Clothier brings more than 15 years of national and field sales leadership experience across powersports, power equipment and marine industries to this role. Most recently, he served as Manager of Business Development and led a national sales team, expanded dealer relationships, and collaborated closely with credit, underwriting, and operations teams to support portfolio performance and disciplined growth.

Prior to joining Northpoint, Clothier held multiple senior leadership roles at American Honda Motor Company, including National Account Manager and Assistant National Sales Manager, where he managed large national accounts, supervised regional sales teams, and contributed to strategic program development across Powersports, Power Equipment and Marine divisions. His experience includes managing multimillion-dollar portfolios, executing national sales initiatives, and strengthening OEM-to-dealer networks

Clothier will be based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and will work closely with Northpoint’s executive leadership, credit, and sales teams to support continued expansion in the powersports market.

In addition, Jason Walling has been named Senior Director of Business Development and will lead strategic growth initiatives across the Powersports, RV, Trailer, and Manufactured Housing industries in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado.

Walling brings more than 25 years of experience spanning the aftermarket, OEM and retail finance sectors. A lifelong powersports enthusiast who grew up racing motocross, he has built a career grounded deep in product knowledge, dealer engagement and market expansion. He began at Fox Racing and progressed through roles at Lemans Corporation (Parts Unlimited) before moving into executive leadership within the OEM space. Most recently, he served as Financial Product Sales Manager at Kawasaki Financial Services and was instrumental in launching and scaling a captive retail finance program which included driving dealer adoption, improving finance penetration and accelerating market growth.

His direct relationship with Northpoint spans more than a decade as an OEM client, giving him firsthand insight into the value Northpoint delivers to dealers, manufacturers and strategic partners. In his new role, Walling will focus on expanding Northpoint’s market presence, strengthening dealer partnerships and delivering tailored inventory finance solutions that support long-term growth across key recreational and lifestyle markets

“Jason brings a practical, customer-centric approach to business development that mirrors how we operate at Northpoint. He knows how to help dealers grow by identifying real opportunities and taking the time to educate rather than sell. His experience, integrity and industry relationships make him a strong addition to our team and, more importantly, a valuable partner to our clients,” said Darren McCarthy, Senior Vice President Business Development.

On the Canadian front, Corey Curtis has joined the Northpoint Team as Director of Business Development and will be leading floorplan finance portfolio initiatives in Alberta and British Columbia across all Northpoint industries.

Based in the Calgary area, Curtis brings 20+ years of commercial finance experience to his new role which includes maintaining and growing the sales pipeline while developing customized financing solutions for dealerships. His previous experience over many years includes sales and leadership roles with TD Bank, Farm Credit Canada, BDC and Canadian Western Bank. In the Floorplan and Equipment Finance spaces, he has developed strong relationships and built solid, value-added networking connections.

“Corey’s experience and industry relationships he built over the years will be a great asset to Northpoint and a significant support to our partners and clients,” said Chris Cook, Executive Vice President, General Manager-Northpoint Canada. “We are excited to welcome him aboard and anticipate a very positive impact in the market as Corey continues to build and develop solid partnerships.”

Northpoint congratulates Jacob Clothier, Jason Walling and Corey Curtis on these exciting new appointments!
