See You in Miami!
Northpoint’s North American Marine Team will be well represented at the upcoming Miami International Boat Show, February 11-15. We are attending with a strong contingent of 14 team members from throughout the organization including our CEO Dan Radley, representatives from parent company Laurentian Bank of Canada, leaders in our credit and operations team along with a group of key business development directors from the U.S. and Canada.
We all look forward to 1:1 meetings with customers throughout the marine industry … and hope to see you there!

Northpoint Strong at MRAA Dealer Week 2025
In early December, Northpoint brought a diverse team of 14 to MRAA Dealer Week 2025 in Tampa, FL including field sales, senior leadership, and operations members. As a strategic partner of the MRAA, we were on hand to fully support their good work which focuses on strengthening dealers through training, certifications and industry advocacy initiatives.
From Northpoint’s perspective, Dealer Week continues to be one of the most impactful events in the marine industry, providing education, networking, and best practice sharing for dealers, OEMs and suppliers alike. Our team engaged with hundreds of dealerships, OEMs, and industry vendors during the show, thereby reinforcing existing relationships and creating new opportunities. We also promoted a “Free Lunch on Northpoint” for booth visitors, with a complimentary VISA card, which was well received.
A major success this year was professionally filming 10 dealers and OEMs for testimonials staged at our display, with the focus to highlight Northpoint’s partnership driven approach and the value we bring to our key partners. We brought in an award-winning video production team and tapped a few members from our organization to serve as moderators. Check out our first new video for 2026 in this newsletter, featuring Mark Curry of Just for Fun Powersports!
Our mission at the event—and within the industry—is to serve as a steward to the marine community, supporting our partners with flexible financing solutions and a strong service culture.

“Cautious Optimism” at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show
Northpoint was on site and invested time and plenty of energy at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to meet with multiple leading companies and customers across the marine industry landscape. The team met with several OEM and dealer customers including Beneteau, OneWater, Monterey, Sea Fox, Yellowfin, Cranchi, Sea Pro, Suzuki, Aiata a Turkey OEM and Caymas, among others.
Considered the world’s largest in-water show with attendees from 50+ countries, the show featured 1300+ boats from 18 to 100 feet. General feedback we received was that while some inventory did sell on site, a large percentage of retail customers were waiting until after the show to purchase. Overall, our OEM and retail customers we spoke with were “cautiously optimistic,” despite the lingering concern among some regarding tariffs and its effect on international boats.

A Strong Presence at the Annapolis Powerboat Show
Northpoint had a strong presence at the Annapolis Boat Show this past Fall. A robust group of outstanding dealers from throughout the Northeast made it a show worth attending for both of our Directors of Business Development from the region including Milt Kirk and Chase Randall, along with Sr VP Business Development John Durnien and Territory Sales Rep Tal Pressley. They reported excellent weather, outstanding products on display and solid representation among major players from both the dealer and OEM front.
In addition, the docks were packed and dealer sentiment at the show was very positive, thanks to the movement of new and aged units and a healthy crowd, reportedly among the best attended in recent history.
