In addition, its combined facilities sport 11 service bays; 4500+ sq/ft of parts inventory; 21 acres of sales and service lots and two rental fleets.
The dealership represents many top brands. Towables include Alpine, Alpine Avalanche, Avenue, Bontrager, Cougar, Delta, Fuzion, Fuzion Impact, Hideout, Impact, Open Range, Paradigm, Rockwood, R-pod, Sprinter, Starcraft, Tracer, Valor and Vibe. “We’ve had the privilege of serving as Mountaineer RV’s exclusive floor plan finance partner for the past four years — a partnership grounded in mutual trust, shared values and unwavering commitment,” said Northpoint’s VP of Business Development Jimmy Carter. “We deeply value the confidence Mountaineer RV has placed in us, and we remain dedicated to supporting their continued growth and innovation. It’s partnerships like these that define our purpose and drive us forward.”

Mountaineer earned Northpoint’s “Top RV Dealer Award in 2024, and Dealer of the Year distinctions in both 2020 and 2021, along with multiple honors and recognitions both within and outside the marine industry. Three different chambers of commerce have named the dealership “Business of the Year” in 2019, 2021 and 2023, respectively, along with regional wins for “Best RV Dealer,” “Best Outdoor Hunting, Fishing and Camping” and “Best Recreational Sporting Goods” within the markets served. Mountaineer has been named as a Top 50 Dealer nationwide for the past two years, while also achieving top honors from several OEMs for outstanding dealership and individual sales awards. In 2022 and 2023, Statistical Surveys designated the dealership its Top Dealer in seven different categories for the state of West Virginia. Key members of the team have also earned distinction as a 40-Under-40 recipient by RV Pro Magazine, while owner Gina Starett was elected to the RVDA Board of Delegates representing West Virginia in 2024.
When asked about the strength of the Mountaineer – Northpoint alliance, Starett focused on the power of relationship.
“We appreciate the relationship Northpoint strives to build with their dealers,” she said. “Northpoint cares about and works with their dealers to help them grow successfully. We work together as a team and have found that the hearts of the Northpoint team members match the hearts of our team. They care about the success of our business, not just their own. It’s a true partnership vs. just a business contract or lender over a borrower.”
What advice does Starett offer other RV retailers interested in learning more about Northpoint?
“Look into who they are and how they treat their dealers – this is the most highlighted characteristic they display in their everyday business transactions and conversations,” she said. “Speak to those dealers who do business with them daily and learn the benefits from a dealer’s perspective.
“We focused on rates alone that took us away from Northpoint and partnered with another floorplan company for a year – that was a great mistake on our part. While we saved some, the relationship was certainly missing and any monetary savings we gained were overshadowed by the absence of customer service and attention to working together,” she added.
“We look forward to working with Northpoint and having their support as Mountaineer RV continues to grow!”
